Obituary of Jack Carnes

Passed away peacefully on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Grandview Lodge, Dunnville, with family and friends by his side, in his 84th year. Survived by his wife Arlene (Brooks); children Carol Moote (Harvey), Cheryl Cromie (Ross McLeod), Richard (Beth), James (Melissa), JJ (Leah), and Joey; 17 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren, and sister Sylvia Hannigan (John). Predeceased by parents Arthur and Permilla Carnes and siblings Donald (Shirley) and Robert (Grace). Jack was loved and admired by all for his adventurous spirit, and charismatic charm. He worked as a Mechanic for many years and continued working with imaginary wrenches right to the end. Special thanks to the staff at Grandview Lodge in the Creekview wing for the extra special care and friendship provided to Jack. Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will take place at BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, 315 Broad St. E., Dunnville on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 6 – 9 p.m. Donations made in memory of Jack to Alzheimer’s Society would be sincerely appreciated.
