Obituary of Gordon William Booker

Gordon William Booker--passed away suddenly and unexpected on January 17, 2019.   Survived by his loving wife Doris (Climenhaga) of 61 years. Loving father of Craig(Dianne), Lynne, Allen (Margit) and Melissa (Yvan), grandfather of Carolyn (Dean), Karen, Thomas (Bailey), Ethan, Melodie, Nicholas and Alexandre, and great grandfather of Levi and Grace.  Gordon is also survived by his sister Margaret Booker and brother-in-law to Maynard and Sandra Climenhaga Marilynn Fox, Eleanor and James Miller, and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Grace Booker, brother-in-law Frank Fox and brother and sister-in-law Pauline and Albert Hostetler.   Gordon was a farmer and was involved in agricultural organizations both at the local and provincial level. He served for many years on the Haldimand Federation of Agriculture and Provincial Director on the OFA Board. He was also a Director on the Ontario Cream Board. Later he was a school bus driver and a driver for Niagara Airbus.

Family and friends are invited to visitation at Wainfleet Be In Christ Church, 53007 Perry Road, Wainfleet. Tuesday, January 22, 2019 2-4 and 6-8 pm.  The funeral service will be held in the church on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 1:30 pm. Interment to follow at Zion Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to Wainfleet Be in Christ Church memorial fund.
